Scope and content
Contains:
I) Correspondence between CC Flossenbürg (internal: Schutzhaftlagerführer / Lagerarzt) and the SS-WVHA (Amtsgruppe D) about the contact with Soviet prisoners of war (POWs), concerning their "release" for forced labor and the use as stonemason apprentices, 01/07 - 03/29/1943.
II) 1-page typewritten draft of 09/18/1943: "Ausarbeitung für die Gewähr eines sichere Gefangenen-Transports", with handwritten additions, signed by an SS-Untersturmführer. The document deals with new regulations concerning the transport of prisoners (logistics and surveillance) on the basis of an order from the camp commander Kögel. The letter provides an insight into the practice of prisoner transfers and transports to date. Soviet POWs are mentioned separately.
III) "Discharges" to the Wehrmacht and to the SS Regiment Dirlewanger:
- Letter of the Amtsgruppe D to the camp commandants of various concentration camps, concerns the compilation of lists of "prisoners of war who were released from protective custody for the purpose of convocation to the Wehrmacht (examination by the OWK)", 09/18/1943.
- Reply of the camp commandant to the SS-WVHA, concerns list of prisoners "released" to the Wehrmacht, 09/28/1943.
- Telex from Rudolf Höß to various CC, concerns repeal of the decree regarding the drawing up of lists ("dismissal" to the Wehrmacht), 10/26/1944.
- Telex from Rudolf Höß (since 05/01/1944 Chief of Amtsgruppe D 1 in the WVHA) to CC Flossenbürg, concerns lists of prisoners who could be drafted into the SS regiment Dirlewanger, 02/23/1945.
IV) Page of a letter from the camp commander, concerns weak prisoners who are used to produce the materials supplied by the Schwarz & Co. company in Hamburg. Concerning the situation after bombing raids on Hamburg and the possibility of transferring 500 of the prisoners to another camp, undated, ca. 08/1943. The first page is missing.
V) Letter of the Waffen-SS Kommando B5, Lobositz (Leitmeritz), to the head of the administration of CC Flossenbürg Kirshammer, concerning bonus for executions, 09/27/1944.
VI) Subcamp Triebschitz:
- Letter of the "Kriegsgefangenen-Arbeitskommando" Triebschitz III, concerning unscheduled catering of the prisoners during transport, due to railway line disturbance, 10/21/1944.
- Certificate of CC Flossenbürg on the correctness of the food received by the prisoners from Triebschitz III, 10/21/1944.
VII) Letter from the subcamp Hof-Moschendorf (Northern Bavaria) to the Hellerith Department in CC Flossenbürg concerning the hanging of a prisoner in the subcamp, 02/21/1945. This will most probably concern the prisoner Simon Sarnawsky, who was hanged in Hof-Moschendorf on 12/27/1944.
VIII) Letter of the camp commander to the Gestapo - Chemnitz State Police Station - concerns "Prisoner's admission to camp level II", undated, the right margin of the document is torn off.
