Transfers of prisoners: CC Buchenwald, CC Sachsenhausen

Scope and content

Contains:
I) Correspondence on the transfer of skilled workers from CC Buchenwald to CC Flossenbürg or its subcamps and vice versa. If inquiries from the SS-WVHA to various camps regarding reports of skilled workers and the corresponding replies from CC Flossenbürg could be clearly assigned to a subsequent transfer, they can also be found in this unit (cf. Doc ID 82108250-82108252), 11.12.1942-09.02.1945, Doc ID 82108085; 82108106; 82108111-82108112; 82108155-82108157; 82108169; 82108171; 82108181; 82108186-82108187; 82108231-82108234; 82108238-82108240; 82108250-82108256; 82108258-82108260; 82108292):

- Included are (tele)letters between the SS-WVHA and various departments of CC Flossenbürg on the transfer of skilled workers (including mechanics and opticians; carpenters; skilled workers "for office and typewriter work"), with instructions, regulations and reports from both camps on transfers / arrival of prisoners. The subcamp "Leichtmetallwerke Rautenbach" is frequently mentioned (cf. Doc ID 82108171; 82108181; 82108186-82108187).
- 6 Teletype (SS-WVHA - Amtsgruppe D -, Camp commandant's offices CC Flossenbürg and CC Buchenwald) concerning the transfer of 500 Italian prisoners to CC Buchenwald, 13.10.-22.10.1943, Doc ID 82108253-82108255; 82108258-82108260.
- 1 telex to CC Flossenbürg, contains order to no longer transfer prisoners to CC Buchenwald, 09.02.1945, Doc ID 82108292.

II) Correspondence, orders and reports concerning the transfer of prisoners to the Sachsenhausen camp, between the SS-WVHA, the Flossenbürg camp and the Sachsenhausen camp. Among them are:

- Telex concerning the (delayed) transfer of a glassblower to CC Sachsenhausen. Information can be found on the age, nationality and detention period of the forced laborer concerned, 24.11.-17.12.1942, Doc ID 82108077; 82108080; 82108091.
- Telex concerning the use of 20 German prisoners as Capos in the armaments factory, 22.01.-01.02.1943, Doc ID 82108096, 82108101 and 82108102.
- A letter from the Waffen-SS Kommandantur "Arbeitseinsatz" to the SS-WVHA dated 10.08.1943 concerning the "Provision of prisoners for a transport to CC Sachsenhausen" should be emphasized. It contains a list of past transfers and information about the physical condition of the prisoners in CC Flossenbürg. The subcamps Krondorf, Schlackenwerth and Neurohlen are also mentioned.
