Scope and content
Contains:
I. Correspondence regarding transfer of prisoners from the Flossenbürg Camp to sub-camps respectively in other Concentration Camps (and vice versa). Mentioned is the amount of the forced laborers; partly with additions concerning names, birthdates, prisoners' categories/numbers, occupational skills.
The following Camps and sub-camps frequently appear in the documents:
• Pottenstein: Transport and exchange of forced laborers between the Pottenstein (sub-camp) and the Flossenbürg Camp, April-June 1943.
• Camps Lublin / Auschwitz / Groß-Rosen: Correspondence between the different “Lagerkommandanturen” and the SS-Wirtschafts-Verwaltungshauptamt regarding transports of prisoners to and from the Flossenbürg Camp, partly concerning logistics.
• Furthermore the Camps Dachau / Stutthof / Mauthausen / Sachsenhausen and several sub-camps, including Dresden and Hradischko, are being mentioned.
Of interest is a letter by the “Lagerkommandant” (camp commander) Egon Zill to Paul Hoppe (Lagerkommandant of the Stutthof Camp), regarding the transport of a Flossenbürg prisoner, who is assigned to work as a gardener in the Stutthof Camp. The document includes a detailed description of the occupational skills which 'qualify' the "BV”-prisoner Jakob Deffner, 18.01.1943, Doc ID: 82107464.
II. Notifications addressed to the SS-Wirtschafts-Verwaltungshauptamt regarding registrations of skilled workers and capos (male).
III. Three handwritten resumes of the prisoners Sawili Ussow, Louis Roux und Eduard Kauril, who were assigned to work as ‘specialists in tunneling’ in October 1943.
