Wave 14 – 15th Osttransport to CC Majdanek and Sobibor, 06/13/1942
Scope and content
Contains:
I) Correspondence and directory of the Stapoleitstelle Berlin to the Chief Finance President concerning the confiscation of the property of deported Jews, 06/06.1942 – 06/13/1942.
II) "Transport list": 15th Osttransport of 757 persons to CC Majdanek and Sobibor (Wave 14), 06/13/1942.
III) Letter and index of the Stapoleitstelle Berlin to the Chief Finance President, concerning 19 Jews who committed suicide before their deportation, 06/16/1942-06/17/1942.
The list sent to the Oberfinanzpräsidium (Chief Finance President) incorrectly contains the title "14th Transport". It can be assumed that this is due to shifts in the counting of the deportations. The documents contained in this unit rather refer (with reference to historical research) to the 15th transport (Wave 14) which left Berlin on June 13, 1942 for Lublin. The deportation was possibly originally planned for June 2, 1942. Some of the deportees (24 children and 3 educators from the "Israelitische Erziehungsanstalt für geistig zurrückbliebene Kinder" in Beelitz) were apparently picked up on June 2 and brought to Berlin.
