Contains: List of the deportation of Jews from Frankfurt/Main to Kaunas on Nov 22, 1941. The originally planned destination, which is also indicated on the list, was to be Riga. However, since the Riga ghetto no longer any intake capacity in late November 1941, the transport from Frankfurt was diverted to Kaunas.
The database of the Yad Vashem Memorial states: The train with the men, women and children left Frankfurt on November 22 and arrived in Kaunas a few days after the deportees from Berlin and Munich. As soon as they were taken off the train at Kaunas train station by Lithuanian aides and members of the 11th German police battalion, the Jews were marched 6 km through town and along the ghetto fence to Fort IX. Shortly after they arrived, on November 25, 1941, they were taken to pits and murdered by members of the Einsatzkommando 3 (mobile SS death squad), German Ordnungspolizei (order police) and Lithuanian aides – this was the first ever mass shooting of German Jews. https://deportation.yadvashem.org/index.html?language=en&itemId=9437977&ind=5
