Scope and content

Contains:
Sources on the deportation of Jews from the Gestapo area in Münster.

The first three sub-units contain directories, correspondence and lists concerning the deportations and whereabouts of Jews from the districts of Detmold, Lemgo, the administrative district of Siegen/Westf., as well as from Paderborn and Salzkotten to various ghettos, concentration and extermination camps.
These are documents from the years 1941-1943 (see Sign.: 1533000: photocopies of a file from the Gestapo field office in Paderborn, especially with regard to the so-called Jewish retraining and labour camp – “jüdisches Umschulungs- und Arbeitslager” – there), as well as lists or transcripts compiled by Jewish communities and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (AJDC) in the immediate postwar years.

The last subunit contains a publication from 1960 entitled "Juden in Münster 1933 -1945. Eine Gedenkschrift" (cf. sign. 8229400).
