The card file contains information about persons who were incarcerated in Italy or territories occupied by Italy. The persons registered in this card file wereeither not Italian citizens or Jewish Italians. The cards contain boxes for the following information: name, first name and birth name, first name of the father, first name and birth name of the mother, place of birth and date of birth or age, occupation, address, information about relatives recorded in the card file, place of incarceration or residence, number of the correspondence folder, nationality, racial classification as Jewish or Arian, statement of incarceration or liberty and the source of information for it, note on liberation, repatriation, or death and the source of information for it.
The card file does not contain all pieces of information for each person. The spelling of first names was often transferred into Italian! For prisoners classified as Arian the amendment of a religious faith or the belonging to the ethnic group of so-called gypsies was recorded, sometimes.
A few pieces of correspondence, written during the war, about, by or to prisoners were integrated into the card file.
