Scope and content
Contains:
I) Gestapo file Leipzig (fragments).
II) Passport photographs of Louis Tschopik and Heinz Strauß; photograph of the police identification service (Hardy Lewy) with a description of the person on the back and the corresponding correspondence of the managing director of the Jewish Religious Community Leipzig (2013).
Gestapo file cards are forms of which there are different versions (marked with different numbers), varying in the amount of documented personal data. In the case of the Gestapo Leipzig, the collection contains the form "Gestapa" No. 20.
One card is printed on both sides.
The front side of the card contains the following notes about a person:
- Name (and birth name)
- First name
- Date of birth (with location)
- Profession
- Marital status
- Nationality
- Confession of Faith
- "Descent"
- Last domestic residence

- Date of emigration
- Reasons for emigration

The back of the card contains the following information:
- Information on political behavior before emigration in Germany, including memberships and official activities in the KPD, SPD, their respective subsidiary organizations, as well as in other former parties.
- Information on police activities abroad, including anti-government behavior against Germany.
The registered persons are individuals or entire families (all Jews with German citizenship) who emigrated from Leipzig in the 1930s. Destinations include France, Portugal, Spain, England, Palestine, CSR, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, USA, South Africa, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Switzerland and Australia.
