Scope and content

The collection consists of several sub-series arranged by thematic subjects. Main topic is the assistance and support ot prisoners of war, displaced persons and internees during and after the World War 2. records embrace troubles, questions and other themes related to the treatment of prisoners and civilian internees such as political prisoners.
Postwar records include search of former prisoners and files on the Greek civil war.
Records are organized by country or geographic area, concentration or imprisonment camps, ICRC delegations or national offices and other thematic classifications.
