Scope and content

The fonds consists of patient files. There is one file per patient. Each file may differ in the amount of documented treatments, the amount of documentation for each treatment, and the completeness of such documentation within the file. Each file is wrapped in a brown envelope. Since the Amberg hospital was a sanatorium for displaced persons suffering from tuberculosis, almost all files contain X-ray pictures, which have not been digitized, however. Additionally, the files can contain admission notes, patient´s charts, radiological and laboratory findings, electrocardiograms, discharge notes, as well as various administrative documents, e.g. IRO Disability Registry Cards.
